About Ski Track
The hassle-free task management and collaboration app. Ski Track comes with no distractions of a typical task management software whatsoever. This means you'll have a lot less to get used to, and you can actually get more things done.
Because Ski Track has a very universal approach to task management, it works well across various industries from software development, start-up companies, design and architecture bureaus, HR and recruiting consultancies, construction firms etc.
With Ski Track, task management is fun. And why should it be any less fun than checking what you’re friends are up to on Facebook, or catching the latest tweets on Twitter?
In Ski Track, you'll see your colleagues faces a lot. This makes Ski Track more human than other task management apps and helps you distinguish very easily whom certain tasks are assigned to.
Ski Track also introduces tracks. Tracks are central part of Ski Track. A track is a chain of tasks that depend on each other in an order of desired execution.
Here's an example — you need to update some information on your company’s website. For this you will need the copywriter to write some texts, a designer to design it, coder to build the actual HTML, someone to test it, and someone to actually put it up.
You will create 5 tasks — one for each step, and let people execute these tasks in a sequence, one-by-one. For this you will add these tasks onto a track. After you do this, the designer will only see that he needs to design something after the copywriter has worked on the texts, the coder will not get confused about having to code something that’s not been designed yet, and so on.
You as a project manager basically generate a flow of commands/tasks, and then hit a magical “Start” button. And your job is only to check how are things going, because the moment the copywriter finishes the copy, the designer will receive a notification about a new task, and so on. Sounds logical?
And one more thing. Ski Track also constantly does calculations to provide you with information on when certain tasks are likely to be finished. This means all the deadlines you give in Ski Track are for reference only and the real deadline estimations are calculated by Ski Track for you, based on people’s track record, work hours and task dependencies.
